Browning cynergy

For myself, I can relate since I can remember a time when I had exactly one shotgun, a battered Remington that served me well. The premise of that tired old saying is of course if a man has but one gun he will use it for everything. From target shooting to grouse hunting or crows in the cornfield you just grab that shotgun and sally forth.

Browning may have been thinking about this when they created the Cynergy CX shotgun. In this day and age is one over and under shotgun for sporting clays, trap, skeet, pheasants, and even the odd woodcock even possible? Ah, grasshopper, consider the Cynergy CX. The Cynergy line of shotguns, which Browning whipped on us inhas several models. A turkey shotgun, a target model and a composite stock model of the Cynergy CX. Crossover dream. True over and under shotgun geeks will notice the Cynergy made a technological breakthrough with its MonoLock Hinge, making it possible to create an over under shotgun with an ultra-low profile receiver.

Every shooter I handed this gun to said this, every one. What does it mean? Jeweling on the receiver adds a nice touch for appearance, smoother function and improves durability.

Because inertia is not needed for the hammers to set, the design eliminates the possibility of the second barrel not firing. No matter how pretty or accurate a shotgun may be if it kicks you like the proverbial rented mule you are not going to be a happy camper.

A slick Parylene coating prevents the pad from snagging on clothing and allows the recoil pad to remain soft. I want an over and under shotgun to kick out empties and do it right now so I am not fumbling with empties when you want to reload quickly.

Impact ejectors on the Cynergy are aided by the punch of a secondary striker spring for more positive, reliable ejection of fired hulls from the chambers.

Unfired shells are elevated for easy removal. Holly is high school student from Greenbrier County, West Virginia, and a very dedicated shotgun shooter. Your email address will not be published. Back-boring increases bore diameter specifications and decreases friction between the shot cup and the bore to maximize shot pellet velocity and to reduce felt recoil. A larger bore diameter can let gases slip by the shot cup, resulting in both reduced pellet velocity and blown patterns. Our back-bore specifications represent the ideal bore dimensions. #SundayGunday: Browning Cynergy Wicked Wing

Current Production.Cynergy vs Citori Moderator: Worc. Posted: Fri May 16, am. I'm new to these forums, so sorry if this has been asked, but I am looking at getting a new Cynergy, but there seems to be more interest in the C's. Can someone explain the difference between them?

What's better about one or the other? Thanks in advance!

browning cynergy

For me the difference between the two is feel. I shoot the Cynergy better but I cannot say why. Some say the triggers and lockup system on the are better and the has a slightly lower profile.

It seems a little less muzzle heavy than the Cynergy. I think down the road, resale value on the will be better, if that matters. If you think you will like the Cynergy, look for a used one. They are widely available. Posted: Fri May 16, pm. Xroads, The is Browning's latest offering in their Citori line and it incorporates many changes that have been very well received by the shooting community which is notoriously slow to accept changes.

Among the items In addition, most shooters feel they are very hadnsome guns. All of these things have created a big buzz in the shooting world. The Cynergy is a now discontinued shotgun line. It received decidedly mixed reviews remember that shooting community that is slow to accept changes. I think they are mechanically very sound, but there were complaints about its triggers, but its biggest problem was many did not like its looks.

They felt the styling and recoil pad were unattractive. Having said that, there are also others are fans of the gun, and I was very close to pulling the trigger on a 28 gauge when they were going for very short dough.

It did not receive the almost universal approval that the has. Having said all of this, I do not think either is a bad gun, as mentioned, if you are ever looking to sell it the is probably going to hold its value a little bit better, but you can probably find a Cynergy for much less dough.

Compared because both have a low profile receivers in the Browning lineup. Citories have been criticized for having a tall and bulky receiver compared to Italian guns. Cynergies have been criticized for radical styling especially the Euro stocks. The has traditional styling and now a low profile: the best of both worlds. Outdoor Hub mobile, the outdoor information engine.

Thanks for the info guys, but I am still confused by all the models of the and what you get for the extra cost. Those prices came from my local dealer. Browning has a long tradition of charging for the 5 extended choke tubes, porting ughhigh-viz sights, and somewhat upgraded wood on guns designated as "sporting.

Posted: Sat May 17, pm. Not sure if that would justify the large price hike or not though.Since the Cynergy was launched in the UK, most shooters have come to the conclusion that this is a gun to suit the sophisticated tastes of the 21st century Shot. This is perhaps the most radical break-action shotgun launched in the past years. The B25 is the gun that set the bar for the modern over-and-under. Miroku and Browning began their association in and Miroku has been building sporting arms since Of course, Miroku also make guns under their own name.

In my opinion most people will buy the Cyergy for clayshooting — but the weight and stock dimensions of the Sporter version makes it adaptable enough for use in the field.

Some other guns have some of the features, but nothing else has the whole package. The action block, machined from a solid steel forging, is one of the shortest in the business, and the first visible difference is the jointing seems to be back to front, with the concave curve in the block itself and the convex curve on the fore-end iron. Stub pins are built into the fore-end iron, but the gun does not truly hinge on these.

They form a convenient rearward latch for the fore-end iron when the gun is assembled, and the barrels actually hinge on quarter-circle cut-outs in the action walls which engage with similarly-shaped projections in the barrel monobloc.

This feature provides huge load-bearing areas compared to pins of any kind, and makes for incredibly strong jointing with little chance of ever shooting loose.

The top lever is very slim and low in profile. Cocking rods run along the action floor, and are forced backwards by cams in the fore-end iron when the gun is opened. Inside the mechanism, the arrangement for firing the gun is novel, too. There are no hammers, the coil mainsprings acting directly on the firing pins via levers. The sears work directly on to these levers, which means the gun has an incredibly fast lock time.

Browning claim just 1. The single, selective trigger is transferred to the second barrel mechanically rather than by recoil, but a recoil mechanism is there to prevent a double discharge. The bolt on this gun is a U-shaped component, with prongs coming forward through the breech face to mate with bites in the back of the barrel monobloc level with the centre line of the bottom barrel.

There are no barrel lumps, as such, at all. The single-piece ejectors, which are tripped when the gun reaches the fully open position, are powered directly by coil springs which run between the barrel tubes forward of the monobloc. With the fore-end fitted, these springs rub behind polymer shrouds.

Typical of a dedicated competition gun, the exterior of the action bears little engraving — a simple logo and the word Cynergy on each side in gold, and the Browning logo, again in gold, on the top lever.

When the Cynergy first came on to the British market the stock was as radical as the rest of the gun. The idea of this is, on recoil, the stock moves away from the shooters cheek, avoiding stinging and possible bruising.

The gun also had a soft rubber recoil pad.Hunting buddy Nathan Robinson inched forward on toes and elbows, traversing a radically steep Idaho canyonside in a hard-core stalk on three unresponsive tom turkeys. As I inched along behind him I saw him stiffen, and then turn the twin barrels of his shotgun to point up the canyon wall. Glancing up, I spotted the three toms working across the slope about 25 yards above our position. So we did what any serious turkey hunter would do; we put the belly-crawl on them.

The shotgun is lightweight, well balanced, carries pleasantly, and comes to the shoulder nicely. It features a composite stock with textured gripping surfaces and a high-performance Inflex recoil pad. Metalwork is finished a Burnt Bronze Cerakote that collaborates nicely with the camo stock. The bores are fully chromed, and a nice ivory bead front sight tops the barrels. Three interchangeable choke tubes round out the package, full, modified, improved cylinder.

A single gold-plated trigger mans both barrels. The action was pleasantly tight and empty hulls ejected with gusto. The shotgun swung and pointed naturally, in fact, so naturally that I have almost no recollection of pointing or aiming at my turkey — just that spectacular attempt at a backflip that he made at the shot. The Cynergy is available in guage, and in 26, 28, and inch barrel lengths, and weighs 7lbs 6 oz.

Autolisp tips and tricks: area perimetro e vertici di un poligono

The loads were being shot from a bench and a tripod for absolute accuracy. I lined up the excellent sights on the Cynergy and squeezed the trigger while concentrating on the head and neck area of the turkey target at 50yds. I almost lost the gun which flipped up and to the right even though I was holding it tightly to my shoulder with both hands — of course it hit the target and would have killed the turkey — all I had to do was survive it.

The gun stock on recoil hit my jaw and pounded my shoulder and I was holding it tightly to it to try to avoid the same results which occurred on the 1st shot. Overall I love the Cynergy….Your browser is out of date and may not be able to properly display our website.

The Cynergy is substantially different in its design from Browning's previous Over and Under shotgun, the Superposed. Based on the trigger system found in a rifle, Cynergy shotguns feature a reverse striker.

Wall of force 5e

The reverse striker is a mechanical trigger system that uses an actuator to reverse the direction of the impact force from the spring to the firing pin. The purpose of this design is to create a lower profile receiver. The system integrates the hinge and locking system.

The MonoLock Hinge pivots on significantly more surface area than guns with conventional low profile receivers. Rectangular locking pins provide additional strength while a wear-in relief feature allows for wear without hindering lock-up. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
